about

This album was my final project for my music degree. I decided I wanted to marry my two passions; massage & music, in order to produce an ambient album to complement my growing bodywork practice. The result is The Celestial Sea; an improvisation-heavy sonic voyage through the cosmos.
Created during lockdown throughout July-October 2021, this self-directed piece is the culmination of my entire musical journey to date, incorporating all elements & instruments. With the philosophy of 'First Idea, Best Idea' , a tapestry was weaved & this is the result.
Amazing album art by Mia Peters.
Big thanks to my co-collaborators & fellow 'Sweethearts': River Wyld, Emma Louise Croxon, Ash Strider, Eden Smith, Cam Massie, Mia Peters, Indi Jade & Robb Ryan. Your unique signatures have made The Celestial Sea what it is & I am most grateful.
Huge thanks to Dan at Wangat Lodge for letting me stay & play the piano!
Thanks for reading (& listening!)
Sugargob.
